Richard is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner who graduated in Law from Queen’s University Belfast in 1999.  Richard commenced his career with KPMG’s technology team in Reading before moving home with a mid-tier firm working across audit, tax, accounts and consultancy.


In 2005 Richard joined Ernst and Young as an audit Senior before moving into Ernst and Young’s growing Corporate Finance team in 2007.  While working in Corporate Finance Richard gained experience in due diligence, M&A, private equity and restructuring working on deals ranging from £1m to $1bn.


In 2014 Richard joined PG&Co and created PGR Chartered Accountants.  Since 2014 the business has trebled with Richard leading the corporate team and introducing clients from across the UK ranging from sole traders to multi-nationals.


Richard is now seeking to push on with the corporate team and continue to make in-roads into the big 4 monopoly.

Peter, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland established PG&Co in 2002 following an accounting career that took him through the tobacco industry, PWC and RSM.


Specialising in the provision of business advisory services to Owner Managed businesses and Small and Medium Enterprises, Peter has developed a wide experience in assisting busy entrepreneurial individuals to achieve their business objectives.


Peter’s interests included long term tax planning and structuring of both companies and LLP’S as well as the design and implementation of computerised accounting systems to deliver relevant management information.


Peter leads the SME/ OMB part of the business and has clients across the British Isles, Europe and other jurisdictions.

Away from the office Peter is a keen golfer and is also a school governor.

Richard is a Chartered Accountant, having had a varied career in both industry and practice. Richard spent several years studying Engineering before making the decision to leave University and co-found Grace’s, a Premium Irish food brand.


Whilst at Grace’s Richard helped grow the Company internationally, achieving success in major multiples throughout the UK & Ireland, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong to name a few.


Richard graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Accounting from Queens University Belfast whilst leading the Company through several rounds of private equity funding, prior to achieving a successful exit.


Richard subsequently joined the Corporate Finance team in Ernst & Young Belfast. During his three years at EY, Richard primarily worked in buy side due diligence. Where he gained experience in a range of industries such as Utilities, Shipping, Pharmaceuticals, Fitness and Manufacturing.


In addition to due diligence Richard worked on a number of large banking projects such as; several asset quality review projects commissioned by the European Central bank, as well as acting sell side on a significant loan book sale.


Richard joined PGR in early 2015 where he manages delivery of all R&D tax credit workflows.


As a result of Richard’s technical background in engineering and food manufacturing, coupled with his significant report writing experience, he specialises in writing detailed R&D technical reports for submission to HMRC.


Richard has significant experience across a range of industries including Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, I.T., Electronics, Renewables, Healthcare, Agriculture, Construction and food.

Shane graduated from University of Ulster Coleraine in 1999 with a BA Honours Degree in Business with Computing and completed a diploma in Industrial Sutdies.


Following university Shane joined the then booming construction industry where he worked as in-house accountant for a property developer / house builder and had full responsibility for the finance function.  Shane then moved to another firm where he worked alongside the software provider to implement a full job costing system linked to their accounting package to assess the profitability of each project.


Shane joined PwC in 2005 to pursue a career in tax and he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2009.  His role was predominantly focused on Corporate Tax, but in more recent years he went on to lead the Mid Tier Tax practice for Northern Ireland. This role saw him advising clients ranging from small owner managed businesses to large multinational groups on a full range of UK tax issues. During his time with PwC he also spent time on secondment as Head of Group Tax for a large multinational group in the food processing industry.


Shane is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT) and sits as a member on the Northern Ireland branch of the CIOT.
